Ashley O'Connor and Lisa Senecal lead the efforts of Big Bright World. Mutual friends and colleagues of Ashley's and Lisa's knew the two were destined to go into business together and made the introduction. Now the new friends and business partners are a testament to what two young, talented and committed women can accomplish.

Ashley O'Connor

A leader in advertising for ten years, Ashley brings the enviable skill combination of creativity, organization and strong business savvy to Big Bright World.

In addition to being Producer and Director on all of Big Bright World's entertainment and running all the day-to-day business operations for the company, Ashley is also owner and President of Red October Productions. A full service production and post-production house in Washington, DC, Red October has production experience in more than 40 states and abroad.

Prior to launching Red October, Ashley honed her advertising and production skills on Madison Avenue in New York City (and also developed her affinity for really nice shoes). It was there that she learned all about the commercial film business. Her clients included the likes of Elizabeth Arden, Lifetime Television and MCI.

Most recently at our shoot in Moab, Utah, Ashley discovered she had the yet-to-be-discovered talents of rock-climbing and white water rafting!

When she's not scaling rock walls, riding the rapids and sinking waist-deep into snow drifts in the Tetons, Ashley lives in Annapolis, MD with her husband, Ted, and their beagle, Crumpton.

Lisa Senecal

Whether it's creating award-winning kids' entertainment, directing national marketing, sales and communications efforts, advocating for healthcare access and education or raising her two young sons, Lisa brings passion and commitment to everything she does.

Lisa's talent for writing and life-long practice of healthy nutrition and physical fitness have come together for her as Executive Director, Writer, and Director for Big Bright World. As co-owner and marketing director at Little Hardhats for ten years, the originator of award-winning, live-action children's entertainment, Lisa developed her expertise in the kids' entertainment market.

Her willingness to push through fears and obstacles (i.e. rock climbing to tackle her acrophobia), or act like the biggest kid (sneaking off to make snow angels or go for sledding runs between shots) make her uniquely suited to lead Big Bright World as Executive Director.

Oftentimes feeling that she is raising two bear cubs in her home, Lisa is a single Mom to two very active boys, Riley (7) and Noah (4). As her boys continue to grow, she has become aware that staying active and physically fit is not only setting the right example, but her only chance of keeping up. Appearing in the videos and acting as creative consultants during the editing process and the Props Department with their Mom, Riley and Noah are their Mom's greatest cheerleaders, and she theirs.
