The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS)

There are a lot of ways to learn about leadership: books, seminars, classes. But how do you learn to be a leader? At NOLS, leadership isn't just a concept to be studied and pondered; NOLS gives individuals the tools to be a leader. The leadership qualities acquired by completing a NOLS course will last a lifetime and translate into every aspect of life.

Although NOLS courses are geared toward teens and adults, the organization realized that introducing healthy habits and leadership qualities is important beginning very early in life. They also recognized that children growing up with a familiarity of NOLS, the outdoors and a healthy, active lifestyle, are more likely to be attracted to NOLS leadership education when they reach young adulthood.
